Cape Coast Customs cc. is an online retailer with a store based in Mitchells Plain. Parcels will be couriered to your door (to the address you supplied) by The Courier Guy (cannot be delivered to P.O. Boxes). If you are not available at the time of delivery, the parcel will be left with someone at the property who will be required to sign the delivery receipt e.g. family member, staff etc.

A working phone number MUST be included on checkout to schedule a delivery date and time.

We encourage all customers to thoroughly review their shipping and billing information prior to checking out to ensure any possible delays are avoided.

Delivery Charges

Couriers operate Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.

Delivery costs will be billed at a flat rate of R150. Deliveries are within South Africa only.

Kindly note that we currently only ship within SA, for deliveries outside of South Africa, courier and collection must be arranged directly by the customer. Please drop us a mail at info@capecoastcustoms.co.za to discuss.

Subject to availability and receipt of payment, requests will be processed within 3 working days and delivery confirmed by way of a waybill from the following courier companies: The Courier Guy. The applicable delivery fee will be calculated and communicated to you before finalizing your purchase.

The offering on this website is available to clients throughout South Africa clients only.

4. Return and Refunds policy

The provision of goods and services by Cape Coast Customs cc is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, Cape Coast Customs cc will refund the client in full within 10 days. Cancellation of orders by the client will attract a 6 % administration fee. Please refer to our policy on Returns & Refunds for more information.

5.  Warranty

All products sold by Cape Coast Customs are covered by a manufactures warranty, covering against manufacturing defects.  Failure to use the products in accordance with instructions and specifications provided by the manufacturer will void the warranty.

Cape Coast Customs will not accept the return of any product in case of a warrantee claim without prior authorisation and a RMA number issued. 

6. Back Orders

Should you select a product that is marked “on Back Order”, Cape Coast Customs will process your order and  provide you with an estimate delivery time. Please note, Cape Coast Customs cannot  guarantee delivery dates. 

Should your order include available items, this will be shipped immediately.

In the event that we cannot fulfill your “on back order” purchase with in 30 days,  Cape Coast Customs will refund you within 10 days

7. Customer Privacy policy

Cape Coast Customs cc shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, “personal information” shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). The PAIA may be downloaded from:

8. Payment options accepted

Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard, Diners or American Express Cards or by bank transfer into the Cape Coast Customs cc bank account, the details of which will be provided on request.

9. Card acquiring and security

Card transactions will be acquired for Cape Coast Customs cc via Payfast (Pty) Ltd .  They are approved payment gateways for all South African Acquiring Banks.

10. Customer details separate from card details

Customer details will be stored by Cape Coast Customs cc separately from card details which are entered by the client on DPO Payfast. For more details refer to www.payfast.co.za

11. Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency

The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).

12. Responsibility

Cape Coast Customs cc takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.

Returns

Cape Coast Customs offers penalty-free returns for 7 days after delivery. However, the courier or logistics cost of returning an item back to us is your own responsibility and at your own cost. You are also responsible to ensure that the goods are adequately insured. Cape Coast Customs will not take responsibility for any losses or damages on returning items, until such time the goods are in our possession. You are responsible for the following:

Return requests are to be submitted in writing to info@capecoastcustoms.co.za

The items are sent back within 7 days along with the original receipt

Ensure goods have not been opened, physically altered, disassembled, used or permanently fixed/installed.

Ensure original packaging has not been damaged and all original attachments, accessories, manuals and unaltered warranty forms must be included and in its original state.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.  Your shipping costs are not refundable.

Refunds are usually done within 10 business days.

Wrong items received

If we accidentally delivered the wrong goods to you, please notify us by sending an email to info@capecoastcustoms.co.za within 48 hours of taking delivery and we will collect the items from you free of charge and send you the correct items (if they are available).  Should the items be out of stock, we will refund you in full.

Refunds are usually within 10 business days

Goods are damaged or missing

You are required to check the package thoroughly on arrival.  If there is noticeable damage, you should sign for it as “Damage on arrival” in the delivery note.  Then, notify us within 24 hrs of taking delivery and send photos of the damaged package and damaged items to info@capecoastcustoms.co.za.  We will arrange the collection of the damaged goods free of charge and replace the item.  Should the item be out of stock, you can choose to get a full refund.

In the event that you received the tracking information but the goods had not been delivered after 7 working days, please get in touch with us so we may further investigate the whereabouts of the items.  We will update you regularly.

Shipping

To return your product, you should email us your complaint at info@capecoastcustoms.co.za, we will then send you an address to mail your product to.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are shipping an item over R500, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Please note that there is NO WARRANTY on SUBWOOFERS, SPEAKERS or TWEETERS. Warranties on other items are only valid on presentation of an original tax invoice from Cape Coast Customs and warranty is strictly valid from date of purchase to end of warranty period. Proof of installation via tax invoice from a VAT registered Car Audio fitment centre is required to validate the warranty. Our warranty is a repair warranty and not a refund warranty. Repair warranty is held with manufacturer of product and not Cape Coast Customs.

Goods with a factory fault within 7 calendar days from date of purchase will be replaced with an identical unit, if available, only after the defective unit has been returned and assessed from the supplier. This is only if the unit has no damage and/or scratches (even slight scratches) and is returned with all its original packaging in its original condition. Repair turnaround time can be anything from 2 to 4 weeks, depending on manufacturer workload. This is not determined by Cape Coast Customs.

Warranty only covers factory faults and not faults caused by incorrect wiring, negligence, abuse or acts of nature e.g. water damage or insect infestation etc.

Warranty also excludes remote controls, cracked LCD displays and broken or damaged clips, buttons, hooks, zips or pins.
